B) FIRST TIME USING THE PLANCHA GRILL
When using the appliance for the first time, it is necessary to rinse the cooking plate with water.
Heat your cooking surface and apply a small amount of cooking oil before preparing your first
meals. In a few minutes, your cooking surface can reach 350°C. You can set the temperature
with the flame adjustment knobs to reach the desired temperature. Each of the two knobs
are independent flame regulators, which allows you to cook at two different temperatures if
desired.
WARNING !
Prolonged heating of oil on the hot cooking surface may cause premature
blackening of the cooking surface. Therefore to avoid blackening, we recom-
mend that you oil your cooking surface just before cooking your food. Very-
cook is not responsible for blackening of the cooking surface due to incorrect
use.
C) SWITCHING OFF THE PLANCHA GRILL
When you have finished cooking, the gas valve must be completely deactivated. To do this,
simply turn the flame control knobs from the ON position to the OFF position (in a clockwise
direction). For safety reasons, we also recommend that you deactivate the gas cylinder valve.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

A) CLEANING
•
Clean all external surfaces and the grease drip tray of the appliance with a sponge and
cleaning fluid before using it for the first time. The grease drip tray may be placed in a
dishwasher.
•
Burnt oil in the grease drip tray must be cleaned every time the appliance is used. Dirty oil
could cause bad odours and the formation of bacteria.
•
Do not use chemical cleaning products such as hydrochloric acid.
B) MAINTENANCE
•
Technical maintenance is recommended and must be carried out by a skilled professional.
•
We recommend that this maintenance is carried out once a year, depending on how often
you use your appliance.
Particular attention should be paid to the elements below when maintaining your appliance:
•
Nozzles: The cavity of the nozzle must be completely clean.
•
Air adjustment lever: Must be clean and unobstructed. Adjustment of the air mixing
panel could be carried out by technical department staff or a skilled professional.
•
Safety: The flame must be clean and in contact with the thermocouple safety device.
•
Burners: The cavities through which the gas passes must be clean and free from
obstruction. Obstructed cavities and surfaces must be cleaned immediately.
Please note that the cooking surface, coating panel and grease drip tray are removable for easy
cleaning.
The other components, which require dismantling during cleaning, must only be reassembled
by technical department staff or a skilled professional, and gas leak tests must be carried out
with soapy water after assembly.
