Longitudinal Cutting
• Cut a workpiece in its longitudinal direction.
• Turn on the device.
• Press one edge of the workpiece against the parallel stop (6), p.1 1. The flat side rests
on the saw table (1).
• The saw blade guard (4) must always be lowered onto the workpiece.
Never take the working position in such a way that you are in line with the
cutting process!
• Adjust the impact stop according to the workpiece height and the desired width. See
also "Mounting and changing the parallel stop" and "Adjusting the cutting width"
S.20ff.
• Place your hands flat on the workpiece with your fingers closed.
• Slide the workpiece into the saw blade along the parallel stop.
• Insert the workpiece into the saw blade without force.
• The saw blade cuts by itself.
• Using your left or right hand, guide the workpiece to the side (depending on the posi-
tion of the parallel stop) only up to the front edge of the saw blade guard.
• Always push the workpiece through to the end of the split wedge.
• Leave waste to cut until you have switched off the appliance and the saw blade has
stopped.
• Secure long workpieces against tipping off at the end of the cutting process, e.g. by
means of a rolling stand.
Workpieces may contain metallic parts that can be ejected. Never work without
safety glasses!
