· Do not allow the power cord to dangle and place the device in a way that no one can fall over the cord.
· Never immerse the espresso maker, the base, the cable or the plug in water or other liquids. Please do not
clean in the dishwasher.
· Clean the espresso maker frequently with standard decalficier.
· Check the power cord for damage before every use. Avoid it being squashed or kinked, scrubbing on sharp
edges or in contact with hot surfaces. If the power cord is damaged, it must definitely be replaced by qualified
specialists.
· Never use the device if you discover damage, if water has entered the housing, or if the device has fallen.
Never attempt to open or repair the device yourself. In case of malfunction, please only have it repaired by
qualified experts! Contact an authorized retailer for this.
· To ensure safe operation, replace the sealing ring from time to time. Use only original replacement parts from
the manufacturer that are suitable for the appliance.
Before the first use
· Please read through the operating instructions and safety advice carefully first.
· Remove all packaging material and dispose of it properly.
· Rinse the interior of the jug and the lower part with warm water. Wipe the outside with a soft cloth, slightly
moistened if needed. Thoroughly dry off afterwards.
Caution: Do not use any caustic liquids or abrasive cleaning agents.
· Unwind the cable completely and insert the plug into a suitable socket.
· The espresso maker is ready for use now. For hygienic reasons we recommend to prepare a first espresso and
pour it away.
Use
· Place the base of the espresso maker on a suitable surface (not on a metal surface, not on fabrics etc.).
· Unscrew the espresso maker and remove the funnel insert.
· Fill the lower part with water up to just below the security valve at the most. The valve must not be covered
with water.
· Put the funnel insert back, fill it with espresso powder and level the surface. Do not firmly press the powder!
· Reassemble the espresso maker. Make sure that the filter and the sealing ring have been put correctly.
· Connect the power plug of the base plate to the power supply, place the espresso maker on the base plate
and switch it on. After a few minutes the espresso rises into the jug, accompanied by slight steam build-up and
bubbling. As soon as this sound stops the espresso is finished.
· The espresso maker features an integrated warming function, however the appliance switches off as soon as
you remove the jug from the base plate.
· After use, disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
