Troubleshooting
The travel drive belt slips.
1. Check the adjustment(s) of the drive belt. Adjust if necessary.
2. Check for a damaged or broken tension pulley lever. Replace if necessary.
3. Check belt for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
4. Check for foreign objects obstructing the clutch tension pulley mechanism. Remove any foreign objects there might be.
5. Check for whether the engine or rear axle disk is broken. Replace if necessary.
The travel drive belt squeaks on braking.
1. Check the adjustment of the Trac drive belt and the adjustment of the brake using the Instructions for Use. Adjust if neces-
sary.
2. Check for any foreign objects obstructing the clutch tension pulley mechanism. Remove any foreign objects there might
be.
The travel drive belt jumps off when used.
1. Check the belt tension. Adjust if necessary.
2. Check the belt guides. Adjust if necessary.
3. Check for a broken or damaged pulley(s). Replace if necessary.
4. Check the alignment of the clutch tension pulley mechanism. In case of deviation, the tension pulley support might be bent.
Replace if necessary.
The machine does not travel even though it is engaged.
1. See Steps 1 to 5 of the section Drive Belt of the unit.
2. Check the motor pulley or rear axle pulley for sheared off or missing cotters. Replace if necessary.
When engaging the clutch, extreme vibration develops.
1. Check for any broken or damaged pulley(s). Replace if necessary.
2. Check belt for any irregularities or burnt spots. Replace if necessary.
3. Make sure that the belt tension is right. Adjust if necessary.
4. Check the clutch tension pulley mechanism for wear or damage. Replace parts if necessary.
The steering has too much play.
1. Check whether the steering toothed segment and pinions are too loose. If this is the case, adjust the toothed segment.
2. Check the spherical joints for wear. Replace if necessary.
The engine will not run.
1. Check the starting procedure. Be sure that the instructions have been followed.
2. Check the fuse.
3. Check whether the battery is charged. Make sure that the battery has been activated and charged.
4. If it is a new machine, remove the spark plug and check the cylinder for any accumulation of oil (due to incorrect han-
dling).
5. Make a visual inspection of the electrical system to make sure that all the connections and switches work reliably.
6. Check the engine according to the manufacturer's instructions.
7. Have the electrical system checked by a specialist.
The engine turns over but will not start
1. Check the starting procedure. Be sure that the instructions have been followed.
2. Make sure that the tank has fresh, clean petrol.
3. Make sure that the petrol shutoff is open.
4. Make sure that the choke valve is in the START position.
5. Check the engine according to the manufacturer's instructions.
6. Have the wiring and switches checked by a specialist.
7. Check the petrol filter for clogging.
8. Check the choke setting on the engine.
The mower tunnel is clogged.
1. Take off the grass-catcher and clean the tunnel.
