Test/SiIence Button
The Test/SiIencebutton is used to test the unit's electronics and to silencethe unit during an alarm. When testing the alarm
weekly, pressand ho d the test button and you will heara short beep, indicating that the alarm hasentered the test mode.
XC01/XC04. • You should first wake up your alarm by pressing the test button; once the alarm has woken up, the LCDdisplay
will activate, then pressthe test button again until you hear a short beep, indicating that the alarm hasentered the test mode.
Pleasereferto the "AlarmTesting" section for further information. The a arm goes back to the standby mode after testing. To
save power, the alarm is designed to automatically turn off the LCDdisp ay if there hasbeen no operation for 5 minutes
XC01-R/XC04-R: Short pressthe test button and you will heara short beep, indicating that the alarm has entered the test
mode.
NOTE: After a test has begun, the alarm will sound and the LEDindicator wil tlash red. Thisdoes not indicate that CO is present.
f you pressthe test button during an a arm state, the unit will enter the silence mode.
