Description
3 .1
Function
The AWG Medium expansion foam nozzles are used to produce medium
expansion foam in accordance with DIN EN ý16712-3ý. The water com-
ponents of the medium expansion foam cool the fire surface. The foam
blanket prevents oxygen access to the burning material. Preventive foaming
protects fire-endangered materials against inflammation.
The foam agent/water mixture produced at a constant admixing rate in
the separate inductor is pressurised and sprayed in a full-cone nozzle.
The foam agent/water mixture is swirled with the aspirated air, producing
a medium expansion foam with high extinguishing properties.
The supply of the foam agent/water mixture is regulated by opening and
closing the ball valve.
