These instructions apply to the following BSS case models and their options.

Safety instructions
WARNING
Read all safety information, instructions and illustrations described in this
manual. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, fire or serious injury!
Unless otherwise stated, the instructions and safety information apply to all models of the
Flow 8 case.
• The connector plug of the case must fit into the socket. The plug must not be modified
in any way.
• Do not misuse the connecting cable to carry or move the case or to pull the plug out of
the socket. Keep the connecting cable away from heat, liquids, sharp edges or moving
parts.
• Only operate the case horizontally with the lid open and in compliance with the per-
missible ambient conditions.
• Do not operate the case in the rain or under the influence of water or condensing mois-
ture.
• Do not operate the case in potentially explosive atmospheres containing flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Switching electrical loads can cause sparks which can ignite the
dust or vapors.
• Do not open the screwed covers or flaps.
• Keep the case dry and clean.
• Do not lean on the Flow 8 cover plate in the case.
• When closing the case cover, make sure that no cables are trapped. There is a risk of
malfunctions, damage and short circuits.
• Avoid impacts or excessive pressure on the case and its components.
• Always disconnect the case from the power supply after use by first disconnecting the
components from the power supply using the on/off switch and then pulling out the
mains plug.
• Only use connection devices that are compatible with the connection values of the
Flow 8. Further information can be found in the operating instructions of the respec-
tive manufacturer.
• If foreign bodies/liquids have entered the case, unplug the mains plug immediately
and contact our service department.
• To avoid scratches, place a soft, thin cloth between the screen holder and the Flow 8
during storage and transportation.
• Store the case in a dry and clean environment.
• Only have the case repaired by qualified specialists and only with original spare parts.

Proper use
The BSS case for the Flow 8 is designed for the transmission and recording of audio us-
ing the available connection options of a built-in Flow 8 digital mixer in dry, clean and
dust-free environments. During operation, the case should only be stored horizontally
with the lid open.
