SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS –
PLEASE TAKE NOTE
PLEASE READ THE SAFETY AND ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING.
•
Parts can easily be damaged if the system
frame with adjustmen is overloaded at cer-
tain points. This can be caused, for example,
by sitting on the bed with the head or foot
section raised.
•
During the adjustment process, no part of
the body should get into the shearing
points, joints or adjustment mechanisms –
not even third parties such as people hel-
ping out, children or pets. The use of the
adjustment by children must be prevented.
Otherwise there is a high risk of bruising.
•
The movement of adjustment mechanisms
and motors must be unrestricted and un-
hindered.
•
Small parts can be swallowed by children
and lead to injuries and danger to life. They
must therefore be kept away from children.
•
For bed frames without motorised adjust-
ment, only operate the manual adjustment
using the plastic key provided (otherwise
risk of crushing).
•
In case of motorised adjustable frames and
retrofitted electrical components, make
sure that there are no cables in the area of
the mechanical adjustments.
•
Never open the housing of the control unit,
the power supply unit or the motors! Un-
authorised opening of the housing and im-
proper repairs can result in danger to the
user and invalidate the warranty. Unautho-
rised repairs, modifications and non-obser-
vance of the operating instructions exclude
the manufacturer's liability for any resul-
ting personal injury or damage to property!
•
Repairs may only be carried out by speciali-
sed personnel!
•
Never get any liquid inside the control unit,
the power supply unit or the motors, as this
could result in electric shocks or short
circuits.
•
Electrical components may only be used for
the purpose specified in these operating
instructions!
•
First check whether the cables or housings
are damaged. If this is the case, do not use
the appliance, but have it replaced by your
authorized dealer.
•
The electronic components are only suitable
for indoor use in closed and dry living
spaces. They may not be used outdoor and
may not be mounted on sunbeds, for example.
•
Persons with pacemakers and other im-
planted medical devices must consult a
doctor before using the radio remote con-
trol and the optional massage devices, as it
is not possible to completely rule out the
possibility of interference with the devices.
•
The use of this product in hospitals or medi-
cal facilities is not permitted. The radio
signals can lead to malfunctions in life-sup-
port systems.
•
Do not leave children playing with the
hand-held transmitter unsupervised! Keep
the transmitter in a place that is inaccessi-
ble to children!
•
Radio signals can penetrate walls and cei-
lings! Only use the remote control in the
room in which the adjustable bed is located.
Risk of physical injury and damage to pro-
perty / crushing hazard! Please note that
the transmitter's range is influenced by the
local conditions! Other radio-operated de-
vices can impair the function (e.g. mobile
phone transmission masts or mobile phones).
To ensure a good signal, do not operate the
control unit directly on a metal plate! Keep
a minimum distance of 3-4 centimetres
from metal objects. Radio transmission fre-
quency: 2.4 GHz.
•
For motors, a maximum switch-on time of
5 switching cycles per minute and a sub-
sequent rest phase of at least 20 minutes
must be observed.
•
To avoid damage due to leakage, the bat-
teries should be removed from the remote
control and motor unit (battery for emer-
gency lowering) if the bed system is not
used for a longer period of time.
•
Batteries supplied with electronic attach-
ments are not rechargeable and are not sui-
table for use in chargers. In case of non-
compliance, there is a risk of explosion or
fire.
•
When used as intended, our products are
designed for a maximum body weight of
120 kg (page 33).
