IMPOrtANt SAFetY INStrUctIONS
• The contents of baby bottles and jars of infant formula must be stirred or
shaken, and the temperature must be checked before consumption to avoid
burns.
• Eggs with shells or whole hard-boiled eggs must not be heated in microwave
ovens as they may explode. This remains true even after the microwave heating
has finished.
• For instructions on cleaning surfaces that come in contact with food and for

please consult the "Cleaning" section.
• The cooking appliance should be cleaned regularly, and food residues should
be removed.
• Insufficient cleanliness of the cooking appliance can result in destruction of
the surface, which in turn affects the service life and may lead to dangerous
situations.
• Do not clean the appliance with a steam cleaner.
• The microwave oven is designed as a free-standing appliance. It may not be
installed or used in builtin furniture. Do not block the ventilation openings.
Keep a distance of 10 cm at the back and 5 cm at the sides from walls and
objects. A free space of at least 20 cm must be left above the top of the
appliance. The appliance should be at least 85 cm from the floor.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a
separate remote control system.
• The appliance must be positioned so that it is at least 5 metres away from
televisions, radios or antennas; otherwise, interference may occur in reception.
• Before you connect the appliance to the mains supply, check whether the
supply voltage and type of electricity correspond to the specifications on the
appliance's type plate. electric shock hazard!
• Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of malfunctions, ensure
that repairs are made by qualified experts only. electric shock hazard!
• WArNINg! Never submerge electrical parts of the appliance in water or other
liquids. Never rinse the appliance under running water. electric shock hazard!
• If the appliance or its power cable/plug is damaged, if the appliance is not
working properly or if it was dropped, do not use it. Instead, return it to your

• Avoid damaging the power cable by crushing or bending it, or by scraping it
against sharp edges. Do not place the appliance on the power cable. Keep the
power cable away from hot surfaces and open flames. Place the cable in such a
way that unintentional pulling or stumbling across it is avoided. electric shock

• If you use an extension cable or multiple socket, these must be suitable for the
respective function. electric shock hazard!
