Danger!
Do not immerse the gourmet grill or the electric cord in water and never aim water spray at it. Make sure
no water can enter into the air vents or steam into the casing. An electrical shock might result.
Danger!
Never use the appliance if you have discovered any damage, water has entered into the casing, or it has
been dropped. Pull the plug immediately if you notice any damage during operation.
Caution!
Do not use the gourmet grill outdoors in unprotected areas. Moisture and dampness can lead to defects
and there is a risk of electrical shock.
Caution!
High temperatures can develop during operation. Touch the gourmet grill during and after use only on
the handles at the sides. If necessary, use oven mitts. Do not transport the appliance when it is still hot.
5.1.
Requirements of setup location
• Place the gourmet grill on a level surface out of the reach of children and ensure that it is in a horizontal position.
• Place the gourmet grill only on heat-resistant surfaces. Keep it a safe distance away from flammable materials
such as napkins, tablecloths, overhead cupboards, etc.
• Protect sensitive surfaces from grease spatters.
• Ensure adequate air circulation and sufficient free space next to and above the appliance. Do not place the gourmet
grill on or next to hot surfaces (heaters, stovetops, or other heat sources).
• Ensure that the power cable and/or any extension cord used
• Does not cross over hot surfaces such as stovetops,
• Does not cross over sharp edges,
• Is not bent or pinched.
Otherwise, there is a risk of fire, electrical shock, or short circuit.
• Also ensure that the power cord and/or any extension cord used is placed so that no one can stumble over it or
become entangled, causing the appliance to fall.
5.2.
Before the first use
• Please read the instructions and safety information carefully before the first use.
• Remove all packaging material and make sure that all parts listed in Chapter 7 "Scope of Delivery" are there and
in proper condition.
• Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. Then dry thoroughly.
• Plug the appliance into a suitable socket.
• Set the temperature to the highest setting and let the grill heat up about 4-5 minutes without any food. Any smoke
or odors that are released are completely normal and harmless.
• Switch the appliance off and let it cool down completely. This process removes any residues from production.
• Your grill is now ready to be used for the first time.
