Known misuse
The following kinds of misuse are dangerous and thus prohibited for reasons of safety:
• Operation of the gourmet grill without supervision. This can lead to fires and potential damage to persons and
property.
• Inadequate repairs can impair the function. Repairs may be carried out only by authorized technicians or Spring
International GmbH. Use only original replacement parts.
• Usage or continued usage if parts such as the cord or Ceran
damage to persons.

Important Safety Tips
Although the gourmet grill has a high standard of quality and safety, operating errors or improper use can cause
injuries or damage. Please note the safety tips indicated by the following symbols:
Danger!
If not observed, permanent damage to persons and/or major damage to property can occur.
Caution!
If not observed, slight to medium damage to persons and/or property can occur.

General safety tips
• Please read these instructions carefully before first using the appliance!
• If you give this appliance to another person, please ensure that the instructions for use are included.
• This appliance is only for home use and only for the intended purpose.
• Ensure before operating that the current and voltage are the same as on the label.
• Children should be supervised to make sure they do not play with this appliance.
• Do not operate this appliance using an external timer or separate remote control.

Starting Up
Danger!
If the surface of the glass- ceramic is cracked or damaged, switch off the appliance to avoid the possibility
of electric shock.
Danger!
Check the cord for damage before each. A damaged power cord is extremely dangerous and must be
replaced immediately. This may be done only by the manufacturer or an authorized technician. The plug
may be used only in a socket with protective ground wiring. The protection may not be eliminated by an
ungrounded extension cord.

Please observe the requirements for setup location described in Chapter 5.1.
Failure to observe them may cause fire damage to buildings and objects and injuries to people.
