Maintenance and use

The build up of earwax differs from person to
person. In case you observe that the sound
outlet of the soft dome has been clogged,
you may clean the soft dome (see paragraph
'Cleaning') or replace it.
Check the module(s) and the soft dome(s) daily
for clogging and damages. This guarantees
optimal performance. If you notice that the soft
dome is damaged, it is important that you do
not continue to use it. Replace it immediately!
To keep the performance of your device
optimal and minimize the chance of infection,
we advise you to periodically replace the soft
dome with a new one. Soft domes are available
at your dispenser.

Cleaning

The MaRiC unit houses both the receiver and
the microphone and fits deeply into the ear
canal. As with any hearing aid that is positioned
deep within the ear canal, the MaRiC may get
some earwax on it. Visible earwax on or within
the soft dome should be removed before it
migrates to the receiver opening of the MaRiC.

To clean your MaRiC, remove the soft dome
and use a clean soft bristled toothbrush and
brush across the top of the MaRiC until the wax
is removed.
