6. Cleaning and servicing
6.1 Safety instructions
Disconnect the appliance from the mains electricity supply (pull out the plug from the socket
if present) before cleaning the appliance or starting any servicing or repair activities, and, if it
has been used in the last 15-20 minutes, wait until the cooking surface cools down
completely.
Do not use aggressive detergent products and take care to ensure that water does not enters
inside the appliance.
To prevent electric shocks, never immerse the appliance, the power supply cable or the plug in
water or any other liquid.
WARNING!
The appliance was not designed to be cleaned:
-
using a water jet;
-
using a high-pressure water jet;
-
by plunging it in water or another liquid.
6.2 Cleaning
The appliance must be regularly cleaned:
After every use clean the cooking surface, making sure not to use abrasive sponges or tools
(spatulas, steel whool, etc), as not to damage the ceramic-glass.
Clean all parts of the appliance with a neutral and delicate detergent using a soft, slighting
damp cloth or sponge. Carefully dry everything after cleaning.
Only use clean water to dampen the cloth or sponge for cleaning.
Do no use abrasive detergents, such as, for example, abrasive powders, agents containing
alcohol, bleach, diluents, etc., which could damage the ceramic-glass or the stainless steel and
aluminium parts of the appliance.
After cleaning, use a soft, dry cloth for drying the surfaces. Check all the parts are perfectly dry
before restarting the appliance.
Regularly check that the air vents on the rear and below the appliance (ref. Fig.1 – Para. 8), are
clean and not obstructed. Clean the air vents with a soft bush and a vacuum cleaner. DO NOT
USE COMPRESSED AIR TO AVOID THE FORMATION OF DUST CLOUDS.
6.3 Servicing
The users are allowed to perform the following maintenance operations:

Periodical check of the electric power cable conditions and of the cable clamp on the appliance
base. Do not use the appliance if the cable is damaged. In case the cable or the cable clamp
are damaged, have it replaced by our dealer or by a qualified technician.

Periodically check the condition of the ceramic-glass cooking surface and of the control panel.
In case they were damaged, do not use the appliance and immediately contact your dealer or
a qualified technician.

Check the appliance's general conditions.

Check that the appliance does not emit any unusual noises.
