Switch off the head before changing the flash tube and
disconnect it from the generator!
Avoid touching the new flash tube with bare hands to
prevent contamination of the flash tube with the oil of
your skin. This would shorten the life of the flash tube.
Use cotton gloves.
You must make sure that the appropriate flash tube is
used!
Open the ignition flat wire at the bend connection wire
next to the flash tube.
Then, carefully pull it out from the plug-in base. Position a
new, matching-type flash tube on the plug-in base (note
the position of the ignition connector) and carefully push
the flash tube inside until feeling the stop.
Pull the flash tube ca. 0.5 mm back out so that the glass
body has room to expand upon heating up. Then bend the
ignition flat wire again around the bent connection wire.

Regular check

National safety regulations require frequent safety checks
of the electrical equipment. Flash heads should be
checked once a year. This check not only guarantees
safety, it also protects the value of the unit.

Return to customer service

To achieve a maximum protection of the unit sending it in
for service, the original packaging should be kept.
