First steps

Insert the CD; the summary page appears.

Select the language.
u
Select the product you would like to connect.
u
Select „User's Manual".

Click the reference "First steps". This section will assist you in starting up your device
quickly.
When the device is supplied, the configuration is protected with the password admin.
To prevent unauthorised changes to the configuration, you should change the pass-
word at regular intervals. (Detailed information can be found in the user guide, see
chapter „Assigning a password".)

Safety precautions

Only use the router with the mains adapter that is supplied.
When connecting the router to the mains, make sure that the connection values are
not exceeded.

Protect the equipment from moisture.
u
Never open the router. For reasons of electrical safety, the router may only be
opened by authorised service staff.

The router may affect medical equipment. Be aware of the conditions of your envi-
ronment.
u
Make sure you include these operating instructions when you pass on your router to
someone else.
u
The ethernet and FXS function are only intended for one line within a building.
All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from the municipal
waste stream via designated collection facilities appointed by the government or the local
authorities.
This crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the product means the product is covered by the
European Directive 2002/96/EC.
The correct disposal and separate collection of your old appliance will help prevent poten-
tial negative consequences for the environment and human health. It is a precondition for
reuse and recycling of used electrical and electronic equipment.
For more detailed information about disposal of your old appliance, please contact your
city office, waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.
