Cleaning and maintenance

Basic points

• Under no circumstances may the coffee machine be cleaned with a hose or pressurized water equipment. All
cladding must only be wiped down with a damp cloth.
• For safety reasons, product dispensing is blocked during cleaning.
• A cleaning operation can never be interrupted. If the power fails, a new cleaning cycle will be forced when the
power returns.
• Cleaning agents must be stored out of the reach of children (CH: Poison class 5).
• Cleaning agents must be stored in a locked cupboard and may only be accessible to authorized persons. The
manufacturer accepts no liability in the event of misuse.
• You must always follow the instructions on the packaging.
• Use only the tested HGZ products.

• If the coffee machine is being used on a mobile trolley, enough fresh water must be available and the waste wa-
ter/drip container must always be emptied before cleaning.

• Is your coffee machine equipped with a milk module (optional) must the cleaning of the milk parts special atten-
tion be given. Pay attention with the descriptions of cleaning to your equipment appropriate guidance.
Cleaning program - at least 1 time a day
1. Empty and clean the coffee grounds drawer. Then insert the grounds
drawer and confirm with the STOP button.
If a fresh water tank and/or a waste water tank is in use:

- The fresh water tank requires at least 2 litres of water.
- Empty the waste water tank.
If a milk module is in use:

- Before cleaning completely untwist the screw (P .1) and after
cleaning close the screw (P .1).
If a powder module is in use:

- This module is rinsed automatically during the cleaning.
5. Hold down the CLEANING key for 5 seconds.
6. Place 1 cleaning tablet in the tablet slot and press CLEANING.
** Fill the cleaning container with 2 litres water and 60ml or

** Press CLEANING and wait for the next display message.

** Clean the container and fill it with 1 litre water.
