• efector octavis uses its own broad band limit values to monitor the
vibration level within the time range. Contrary to the diagnosis
objects, they are absolute values of the vibration acceleration (unit
[mg]) or vibration velocity.
• efector octavis can be used with fixed and variable speeds. For a
correct diagnosis for a variable speed the actual speed must be pro-
vided by a 0/4...20 mA current loop or pulse signal of the diagnos-
tic electronics. Optionally another operating quantity (e.g. load) can
be used for the evaluation.
• When using efector octavis with a variable speed ensure that the
operating speed related to the set values remains constant for inter-
mittent periods.
• In case of wire break or short circuit the outputs switch off and the
LED of the sensor lights red. After rectification of the fault the unit
is again ready for operation.
