1 Safety instructions
• For 230 V AC / 50 Hz only.
• For indoor use only.
• Always disconnect all devices located in the water from the power supply before placing your hands in the aquarium
water (disconnect plug).
• The mains plug must be accessible at all times after installing the device.
• All cables leading out of the aquarium and the mains leads of the employed devices must be provided with a drip
loop to prevent any water which may run down the cables from reaching items of equipment or the mains socket
outlet.
• Equipment with a damaged connecting lead must no longer be used. A damaged connecting lead must not be
replaced.
• This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or with inadequate experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety or have received instructions from such persons on use of the device. Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the device.
• The device is to be used for its specified purpose only. Using add-on parts which are not recommended by the
device's manufacturer may lead to an unsafe operating state – no guarantee coverage.
• The pump should never be allowed to run dry – this could damage the motor and bearings.
• Always disconnect the mains plug before carry out any work on the Bio-Circulator.
• Maximum permissible immersion depth for the pump: 1 m
• Permitted water and room temperature: 10 - 35 °C
• Magnetic fields may cause electronic or mechanical malfunctions or damage when using this device. This
also applies to pacemakers. Please refer to the manuals for such medical devices with regard to the
necessary safety distances.
• Do not dispose of this product with normal domestic refuse. Please dispose of the product at your local disposal site.

3 Installation
• Rinse all parts with warm water before use.
• Attach suction clips to support plate.
• For aquaria of approx. 30 l: Fit nozzle A.
For aquaria of approx. 60 l: Fit nozzle B. For a gentle, directed flow of water, fit
flow diffusor to nozzle.
• A bio foam can additionally be fitted, if necessary. The bio foam prevents smaller organisms from being sucked into the sy-
stem and serves to quickly filter the water clear, e.g. after cleaning the glass panes (wash out bio foam afterwards, so as to
prevent the filtered-off biomass from polluting the aquarium water unnecessarily).
Pull skimmer and intake protector out to the side. Fit skimmer in swivel arm and refit to support plate.
To use the large bio foam, pull the sifting tube adapter out of the swivel arm, turn by 180° and refit in the swivel arm (if ne-
cessary, remove the base plate of the swivel arm and force the adapter out from below).
• Install the Bio-Circulator at the desired spot in the aquarium. The Bio-Circulator should be fitted such that the distance bet-
ween floating cage and guide tube is approx. 3-4 cm. ¶
• With the swivel arm folded in, the device forms a highly compact unit.
4 Setting the skimmer
• To increase inflow of water from the surface: Turn floating cage in anti-clockwise direction (grip floating cage at the top,
not on the black setting ring). ¾
• To increase inflow of water from aquarium: Turn skimmer in clockwise direction. µ
• The buoyancy of the floating cage is adjusted by turning the black setting ring: ¸
- Opening in floating cage completely closed: Maximum buoyancy.
- Opening in floating cage completely open: Minimum buoyancy.
You should always start with maximum buoyancy and only gradually reduce it if needed.
The ideal setting for the skimmer is when the water level in the tube of the float is approximately 1-2 cm below the set-
ting ring (as seen from outside). ¹
• If the float tends to bob: Increase the buoyancy of the floating cage. It may also be appropriate to increase the inflow of
water from the aquarium.
5 Cleaning and care
• Clean soiled parts with a soft sponge or a soft brush.
• The bio foam can simply be pulled upwards and removed for cleaning. It is best to press out the bio foam in a clean contai-
ner filled with aquarium water, so as to avoid harming the filtering bacteria.
• Cleaning the pump: Pull the pump off the support plate. Remove cover cap, pull out rotor and clean all parts carefully –
avoid bending the rotor axle

to Dennerle's Customer Service department together with the receipt providing proof of purchase. The guarantee covers
manufacturing and material defects. Defective parts will be replaced or repaired free of charge during the guarantee period pro-
vided that the product has been used in the correct manner and for the intended purpose. During the guarantee period, the
device may only be opened by Dennerle's Customer Service personnel, otherwise the guarantee coverage will lapse. No claims
shall be assertible beyond the value of the device, e.g. for damage to fish or plants.

1 Norme di sicurezza
• Solo per corrente alternata 230 V / 50 Hz.

• Prima di immergere le mani nell'acquario staccare sempre dalla rete elettrica tutti i dispositivi collegati e immersi in
acqua (togliere la spina).
• Dopo aver installato il dispositivo, la spina di alimentazione deve essere sempre accessibile.
• Tutti i cavi provenienti dall'acquario e i cavi di alimentazione dei dispositivi devono essere muniti di circuito chiuso di
sgocciolamento, così che l'acqua che dovesse eventualmente gocciolare non possa penetrare né nei dispositivi né
nella presa di alimentazione.
• Se il cavo di collegamento del dispositivo è danneggiato, non è più possibile utilizzare l'apparecchio. Un cavo di
collegamento danneggiato non può essere sostituito.

2 Dotazione e descrizione dei componenti

3 Installazione
• Prima dell'uso, sciacquare tutti i pezzi con acqua calda.
• Fissare la ventosa alla piastra di supporto.
• Per acquari con circa 30 l: inserire l'ugello A.
Per avere una corrente leggera e direzionale inserire il diffusore di corrente sull'ugello. ¿
• A seconda del bisogno, è possibile aggiungere una spugna filtrante. La spugna filtrante impedisce l'aspirazione degli orga-
nismi più piccoli e serve ad accelerare il filtraggio, ad es. dopo la pulizia dei vetri (dopo sciacquare la spugna filtrante affinché
la biomassa filtrata non contamini inutilmente l'acqua dell'acquario).
Estrarre lateralmente l'aspiratore di superficie e la protezione di aspirazione. Infilare l'aspiratore di superficie nel braccio orien-
tabile e rimontarlo sulla piastra di supporto.
Per utilizzare la spugna filtrante grande, estrarre l'adattatore per tubo filtrante dal braccio orientabile e inserirlo nuovamente
ruotato di 180° (ev. rimuovere la piastra per il fondo del braccio orientabile e spingere in fuori l'adattatore dal basso). ²
• Fissare il Bio-Circulator nel punto desiderato nell'acquario. Il Bio-Circulator deve essere montato in modo tale che la distanza
tra il cestello del galleggiante e il tubo guida sia di circa 3-4 cm. ¶
• Con il braccio orientabile richiuso, il dispositivo può essere riposto in modo che occupi poco spazio. º
4 Regolazione dell'aspiratore di superficie
• Per aumentare l'ingresso di acqua di superficie: ruotare il cestello del galleggiante in senso antiorario (afferrare il cestello
del galleggiante in alto, non dalla ghiera di regolazione nera). ¾
• Per aumentare l'ingresso di acqua dall'acquario: ruotare il cestello del galleggiante in senso orario. µ
• La portanza del cestello del galleggiante si regola ruotando la ghiera di regolazione nera: ¸
- Apertura nel cestello del galleggiante completamente chiusa: portanza massima.
- Apertura nel cestello del galleggiante completamente aperta: portanza minima.
L'impostazione dovrebbe iniziare sempre con la portanza massima, da ridurre gradualmente solo in caso di necessità.
L'aspiratore di superficie viene poi regolato in modo ottimale quando il livello dell'acqua si trova nel tubo del galleggiante
(visto dall'esterno), a circa 1-2 cm al di sotto della ghiera di regolazione. ¹
• Se il galleggiante tende a ballare: aumentare la portanza del cestello del galleggiante, ev. aumentare l'ingresso di acqua
dall'acquario.
5 Pulizia e cura
• Pulire i componenti sporchi con una spugna morbida o una spazzola morbida.
• Per la pulizia, la spugna filtrante può essere semplicemente sfilata verso l'alto. La soluzione migliore è strizzare la spugna fil-
trante in un recipiente con acqua dell'acquario pulito, per non danneggiare i batteri filtranti.
• Pulizia della pompa: estrarre la pompa dalla piastra di supporto. Rimuovere la calotta di protezione, estrarre il rotore e pulire
con cautela tutti i pezzi, facendo attenzione a non piegare l'asse del rotore

difettose. Condizione essenziale è un utilizzo appropriato dell'apparecchio. Durante il periodo di garanzia il dispositivo può es-

1 Veiligheidsinformatie
• Alleen voor wisselstroom 230 V / 50 Hz.
• Alleen binnenshuis gebruiken.
• Voordat u uw handen in het aquarium steekt, altijd alle in het water aanwezige apparatuur van het stroomnet
loskoppelen (stekker uittrekken).
• De netstekker moet na het opstellen van de apparatuur altijd bereikbaar zijn.
• Alle snoeren die uit het aquarium komen, en de netsnoeren van de apparaten moeten worden voorzien van een
druppellus, zodat eventueel erlangs lopend water niet in de apparatuur resp. het stopcontact terecht kan komen.
• Als de aansluitleiding van het apparaat beschadigd is, mag het apparaat niet meer worden gebruikt. Een bescha-
digde aansluitleiding mag niet worden vervangen.
• Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen (waaronder ook kinderen) met beperkte fysieke, sensorische
of verstandelijke vermogens of met een gebrek aan ervaring en/of kennis, tenzij zij onder toezicht staan van een voor
hun veiligheid verantwoordelijke persoon, of van hem of haar instructies krijgen hoe het apparaat moet worden
gebruikt. Op kinderen moet toezicht worden gehouden om ervoor te zorgen dat zij niet met het apparaat spelen.
• Alleen bestemd voor het aangegeven gebruiksdoel. Het gebruik van uitbreidingsonderdelen die niet door de
producent worden aanbevolen, kan een onveilige gebruikstoestand tot gevolg hebben – geen garantie.
• Pomp nooit droog laten lopen - gevaar voor schade aan motor en lagers.
• Voor het werken aan de Bio-Circulator altijd de netstekker uit het stopcontact halen.
• Maximaal toelaatbare indompeldiepte van de pomp: 1 m
• Toegestane water- en omgevingstemperatuur: 10 - 35°C
• Bij dit apparaat kunnen magneetvelden elektronische of mechanische storingen of beschadigingen
veroorzaken. Dit geldt ook voor pacemakers. De vereiste veiligheidsafstanden moeten in de hand-
leidingen van deze apparatuur worden opgezocht.
• Dit product niet bij het gewone huisvuil doen. Breng het naar uw plaatselijke inzamelingspunt.

3 Installatie
• Voor gebruik alle onderdelen afspoelen met warm water.
• Zuignappen aan draagplaat bevestigen.
• Voor aquariums met ca. 30 l: sproeibuis A opzetten.
Voor een zachte, gerichte stroming stromingsdiffusor op sproeibuis zetten. ¿
• Naar behoefte kan eveneens een filterspons worden gemonteerd. De filterspons voorkomt het opzuigen van kleine organis-
men en is bestemd voor het snel helder filteren van het water, bijv. na het reinigen van de ruiten (filterspons daarna uitwas-
sen, zodat de weggefilterde biomassa het aquariumwater niet onnodig belast).
Oppervlaktezuiger en aanzuigbescherming er zijwaarts uittrekken. Oppervlaktezuiger in zwenkarm steken en weer aan de
draagplaat bevestigen.
Voor gebruik van de grote filterspons zeefbuisadapter uit de zwenkarm trekken en er 180° gedraaid weer insteken (evt. bo-
demplaat van de zwenkarm afhalen en de adapter er van onder af uit drukken). ²
• Bio-Circulator op de gewenste plaats in het aquarium bevestigen. De Bio-Circulator moet zo worden gemonteerd, dat de af-
stand tussen drijfmand en geleidingsbuis ca. 3-4 cm bedraagt. ¶
• Met ingeklapte zwenkarm kan het apparaat zeer compact worden geplaatst. º
4 Afstellen van de oppervlaktezuiger
• Waterinstroom vanaf oppervlak verhogen: drijfmand tegen de wijzers van de klok in draaien (drijfmand bovenaan vastpak-
ken, niet aan de zwarte afstelring). ¾
• Waterinstroom vanuit aquarium verhogen: drijfmand met de wijzers van de klok mee draaien. µ
• Het drijfvermogen van de drijfmand wordt ingesteld door het draaien van de zwarte afstelring: ¸
- Opening in drijfmand compleet gesloten: maximaal drijfvermogen.
- Opening in drijfmand compleet geopend: minimaal drijfvermogen.
De inregeling altijd beginnen met het maximale drijfvermogen en het drijfvermogen mag bij behoefte slechts stapsgewijs
worden verminderd. De oppervlaktezuiger is optimaal ingesteld als de waterstand in de buis van de drijver (van buitenaf
gezien) ca. 1-2 cm onder de afstelring staat. ¹
• Indien de drijver neigt tot dobberen: drijfvermogen van de drijfmand verhogen, evt. waterinstroom vanuit het aquarium ver-
hogen.
5 Reiniging en onderhoud
• Vuile onderdelen reinigen met een zachte spons of een zachte borstel.
• De filterspons kan er eenvoudig naar boven toe worden afgetrokken om hem schoon te maken. Filterspons in een schone
emmer met aquariumwater uitknijpen, om de filterbacteriën niet te beschadigen.
• Reiniging pomp: pomp van draagplaat af trekken. Afdekkapje verwijderen, rotor eruit trekken en alle onderdelen voorzichtig
reinigen – daarbij de rotoras niet verbuigen

8 Garantiebepalingen
Garantieduur: 24 maanden (m.u.v. slijtageonderdelen) Bij garantieaanspraken dient u het apparaat samen met de aankoop-
bon aan de klantenservice van Dennerle te sturen. De garantie dekt productie- en materiaalfouten. Tijdens de garantieperiode
ontvangt u een gratis vervanging resp. worden defecte onderdelen gratis gerepareerd. Voorwaarde daarvoor is het gebruik van
de apparatuur voor het daarvoor bestemde doel. Het apparaat mag binnen de garantieperiode uitsluitend door de klantenser-
vice van Dennerle worden geopend, in alle andere gevallen vervalt de garantie. Verdere aanspraken, hoger dan de waarde van
het apparaat, met name bijv. schade aan vissen resp. planten, kunnen niet worden gehonoreerd.
