Outdoor mounting
▸ When used on weather sides, door intercom
stations should be mounted in-wall with a
rain protection cover (please always ensure
correct installation of the supplied gasket).
▸
When mounting the door intercom stations
in surface-mounted housings, cable entry is
possible at the bottom or rear of the surface-
mounted housing. Use the fittings supplied
with the housings.

The unused cable entry must be closed with
the supplied cover angle. The cable entry is
made via the PG fitting.
▸
When mounting all the stations mentioned in
these instructions in-wall, seal the top edge
of the door intercom station well to protect it
against rainwater, especially if the surface is
uneven (e.g., with silicone). Please leave the
centre of the lower edge of the door intercom
station free to use as water drainage slot.
When using cover plates, the cover plate
must be sealed against the housing moun-
ted in-wall or the flat surface in the case
of cavity wall installations using a suitable
sealing compound or the gasket supplied.

When installing in third-party steles or third-
party housings, suitable measures must be
taken to prevent condensation from forming
in the stele or housing! As this is a resistive
touch display with protective foil, it might
happen that moisture accumulates in the
lower area of the display.

Sealings
To protect your device from any dampness,
please make sure the included gaskets have
been put in place correctly upon installation
of your door intercom station. The gasket
must lie cleanly on the frame of the in-wall or
surface-mounted housing or, in the case of
cavity wall mounting, on the flat surface of the
mounting base! In-wall housings are available
for installation in masonry or plasterboard.
You will find the most important mounting
information inside the in-wall housings. For
mounting in plasterboard, please order the
respective mounting set (order no.: 20-5216).
In the case of cavity wall mounting, ensure that
the surface is flat and that the base is load-
bearing so that the door intercom station can be
fastened.

Only use Behnke connection cable
20-9303-BS for installation, e.g. to connect
third-party buttons.
▸
To extend the connecting cable, use the
extension cable 20-9305-BS.
▸
The display connection cable to be used
(supplied with the electronics) has a
maximum length of 350 mm.
