8) Connect the placed cable to the
back of the switch:
Connect the power cable from ter-
minal 30 to connection # 1
Connect the power cable from ter-
minal 50 to connection # 2
Tighten the connecting screws.
9) Switch installation: Insert the
switch from the back of the instru-
ment panel into the mounting hole
and screw on the previously remo-
ved aluminium ring. The switch is
secured by turning the locknut
located on the switch.
10) Again control all cable con-
nections for a secure fit and make
sure that the cables are not stret-
ched and protected from chaffing.
11) Reconnect the battery of the
vehicle and test the function of the
switch. The activation of the igni-
tion still takes place with the igni-
tion key of the vehicle. The star-
ting process (starting the vehicle)
now takes place with the installed
Starter-Button. After testing the
correct function of the Starter-
Button, reassemble the dismantled
moulding parts according to the
Owners Manual.
Safety precaution: ATTENTION:
The starter also functions without
activating the ignition. Do not
actuate the Starter-Button while
driving this will damage the star-
ter.
Have the installation checked by
an authorized automotive work-
shop.
Mount the starter at a protected
location to avoid damage through
external influence. Check electrical
connections and starter switch for
a secure fit.
Make sure that none of the cables
can be pinched or buckled and are
protected from chaffing or breaka-
ge through abrasion.
