4.3 Sterilization

After removal of reflux tube (21) and suction tube (20) the dispenser can be
steam-sterilized (121 °C, 2 bar, 15 minutes) according to DIN EN 285. Place the
device on a cloth and avoid any contacts with hot metal surfaces. The discharge
tube (6) has to be attached to the protective sleeve (7).
In order to prevent loss of adjustment due to heat expansion of the different materi-
als, the quick lock knob (3) has to be set to minimum 2/10 of its maximum volume.
Before you use the dispenser, let it reach room temperature (about 2 hours cooling
time). After autoclaving, check all screw fittings for tightness.
After autoclaving please check all parts for deformations or other changes. Do not
use any deformed or leaking parts. In case of deformation, please return the device
including the autoclave protocols. After autoclaving the dispenser must be checked
and recalibrated if necessary.
