1 Safety- and user instructions
1.1 General safety instructions
Highest safety precautions should be used when dispensing corrosive, poiso-
nous, radioactive or hazardous chemicals. Study these instructions carefully!
■ General operation and safety instructions must be followed. Eye protection,
protective clothing and glove must be worn.
■ The instrument must only be used for intended purpose and utilized the
component tolerances of material resistance.If unsure about dispensing a
specific solution, please contact the manufacturer.
■ Always work with the instrument so as not to endanger the operator or other
persons.
■ Never use force. Breakage of any part will lead to hazardous exposure for
the user as well as others.
■ Always check the dispenser for leaks before using. Make sure that the sucti-
on and ejection cannula are firmly in position.
■ Do not apply force to the instrument.
■ Do not drop the instrument and do not immerse the instrument in liquids.
■ If the valve is faulty the cannula might drip. Only use original spares and
accessories.
■ Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer's trained personnel.
Do not open the instrument. Infringements will void your warranty!
■ Do not use the instrument in explosive environments.
■ Do not expose the instrument to temperatures exceeding 50°C. Do not
autoclave!
■ Keep the instrument away from fire or flames.
■ Check all screw fittings approximately one hour after each assembly/di-
sassembly if they are fitted tightly, because leakages might occur due to
material expansion conditional upon temperature.
■ Never use damaged or deformed cannulas.
■ The ejection cannula (6) should never face the user and a collection vessel
should be placed underneath.
1.2 Warranty
We only consider ourselves responsible in regard to safety, reliability and
performance of the device if the dispenser has been used in accordance to the
instruction manual and only the parts supplied by the manufacturer have been
used. Witeg warrants the Labmx airless for 12 months from the date of prucha-
se.
