Connections
Before connecting the DVD-RAM drive
ebe sure to read the operating instructions and operating precautions for the personal computer into which this
DVD-RAM drive will be installed.
eTurn off the power switch for the personal computer and unplug the power cord from the power socket.
(Never connect the DVD-RAM drive while the power is on.)
eDo not place the DVD-RAM drive where it will be susceptible to vibration or impact or where the surface is
tilted.
e Mounting screw holes are located in eight places on the right and left panels of the DVD-RAM drive, and in
four places on the bottom panel. When securing the OVD-RAM drive into a personal computer or other
device, secure the DVD-RAM drive firmly in place with four mounting screws (included) in four places on the
right and left panels or in four places on the bottom panel.
eInsert the connection cables firmly.
eBe sure to observe all operating environment restrictions as noted in "Specifications" on pages 87 and 90.
