normative requirements to stop a fall with a mass of at least 140 kg.
- The attachment elements of a rescue harness must not be used as a body restraint system in a fall
arrest system.
- During use, regularly check the harness fastening and adjustment parts; These components must
be protected from any environmental stress: mechanical stress (impacts, sharp edges, etc.), chemical
stress (splashing of acids, bases, solvents, etc.), electrical stress (short-circuit, electric arcs, etc.) or
thermal stress (hot surfaces, blowtorches, etc.).
- Authorised temperature limits: No contraindications for use between –30 and +50°C.
- If this product is to be resold outside the first destination country, the reseller must provide this
instructions manual, drafted in the language of the country in which the product will be used.
TRANSPORTATION / PACKAGING / STORAGE
- The equipment must be protected when not in use, in a rot-proof protective packaging.
- During transportation, protect it from impacts or pressure that may result from the immediate
environment.
- Store it in a dry, ventilated room that is sheltered from ultraviolet rays, frost and corrosion.
VERIFICATIONS
- Via a visual inspection, verify before, during and after use that the equipment is in good condition
and that there are no faults: condition of the straps, seams, adjustment buckles, D-rings and
associated lanyards. - Ensure that there is no cuts, wear and tear, fraying, incipient fractures, traces of
rust or discoloration and ensure that the markings are readable (identification and/or date of validity).
Ensure that the buckles are clean and that they function properly.
- If there is any doubt on the reliability of the equipment, do not use it without getting the written
authorisation of a person who is authorised to decide on its reuse.
- During assembly with other safety components, check their compatibility and ensure that all of the
recommendations and European standards in force (EN) are applied.
- In particular, ensure that no safety function of any component is affected by the safety function of
another component and that they do not interfere with each other.

MAINTENANCE/REPAIR

To preserve the properties of this equipment, the maintenance recommendations must be followed:
- The equipment must be cleaned and disinfected only with cold water and a neutral soap; never use
detergents or chemical products.
- Dry in a ventilated area, far from any flame or a direct source of heat.
Any modification or repair is forbidden and this equipment must not be used for any purpose other
than what it has been designed for or pushed beyond its limits. The equipment that has been through
a fall must be destroyed to prevent it from being reused.
PERIODIC EXAMINATION
- Service life: The equipment is designed to last for several years under normal conditions. The
service life depends on the frequency of use and the circumstances.
- Certain particularly aggressive, marine, siliceous or chemical environments can reduce the service
life of the equipment to only a few uses. In these cases, special care must be taken regarding the
protection and the inspections before use. Ensure that the necessary markings are readable.
- A periodic inspection carried out by a competent inspector is necessary to ensure the safety of the
user, which is connected to the maintenance of the effectiveness and resistance of the equipment.
A mandatory annual inspection will check the condition of the equipment and it can only continue
to be used on obtaining a prior written agreement. As concerns what has been mentioned above,
the rough estimate of the service life of the products, as recommended by the marketing authority,
is 10 years.
- Ensure that the identification sheet and the maintenance monitoring table are kept up to date from
the time of the commissioning and during each inspection.
