1. Lift the side discharge guard (Fig.20.A)
and fit the side discharge chute (Fig.20.B)
as illustrated in the diagram.
2. Close the side discharge guard (Fig.20.A) so that the
side discharge chute (Fig.20.B) is locked in place.
6.1.3 Cutting height adjustment
Adjust the cutting height as indicated in (par. 5.4).
6.2 SAFETY CHECKS
Run the following safety checks and check that the
results correspond to those outlined on the tables.
Always carry out the safety checks before use.

Test driving
If any of the results fail to match the indications

6.3 START-UP
NOTE Start up the machine on a flat
surface without obstacles or high grass.
1. Open the hatch for accessing the battery com-
partment (Fig.21.A).
2. Fit the battery inside its housing correctly (par. 7.2.4).
3. Insert the safety key (Fig.21.B).
4a. Models with "I" type handle
• Press the safety button (Fig.22.A) and pull
one of the two control levers (Fig.22.B).
4b. Models with "II"/"III" type
handle - Advanced Series
• Press the power button (Fig.23.A).
• Engage the cutting means by pressing one of the
two operator presence levers (Fig.24.A) against
the handle and then the button (Fig.24.B).
6.4 OPERATION
