1.3 Operating
Select the temperature with the left-hand
temperature tap (2).
Turn on the water with the right-hand
water tap (3).
1.4 Important note
When the water is being heated in
the heater, its volume increases. The
expansion water must be allowed to drip
out through the fitting outlet. This is a nec-
essary and normal process.
Stiebel Eltron water heaters SNU 5 SL with
"antitropf" -anti-drip- function retain the
expension water.
Limescale formation may block the outlet,
and so put the heater under pressure.
Never close off the fitting outlet, and do
not use any foaming elements (perlators,
aerators), flow limiters, or hoses with jet
regulators, since the heater will otherwise
be damaged.
1.5 Care and maintenance
Only a damp cloth is required to clean the
fitting. Do not use any abrasive or corrosive
cleaning agents.
A jet regulator (12) which is
blocked in lime
scale must be cleaned.
To clean the lime scale, the jet must be
removed from the jet
regulator.
1.6 Operating and Installa-
tion Instructions
Keep these Instructions carefully. In
the event of change of user, give them
to the new owners. If any maintenance or
repair work is required, give these Instruc-
tions to the qualified fitter for his guidance.
