Function and features
The AS-i module operates as a slave in the AS-i network (AS-i profile:
S 7.0). It connects four sensors (2-wire sensors or pnp 3-wire sensors,
18 ... 30V DC) and four actuators (10 ... 30V DC) with the AS-i master.
• max. number of modules per master: 31
• Watchdog function: if the connection to the master is interrupted for
more than 40ms, the 4 outputs are disconnected
• total current consumption from the AS-i network: < 240mA
• max. current load per output (DC13)* 1A per channel, 4A per module
• sensor-/actuator connection via screw terminals/Combicon

Utilisation category (DC13): The switch-on and switch-off capacity for the triggering of solenoids is rated up
to 20 W (to IEC 947-5-2).
Mounting

Mount the module onto a 35 mm rail or fasten it onto a mounting
device.
Ensure a suitable heat dissipation (enable air circulation). Mount the
module in a vertical position if possible.
Electrical connection
Sensor supply via the AS-i network.
Do not connect the inputs I1 .. I4 with external potential. For the
outputs O1 ... O4 the external potential must be a PELV voltage.
Inputs: Sensor supply via AS-i network (terminals I+/I-): 18 ... 30V DC
(Do not connect the inputs with the external potential)
Outputs: External supply (terminals E+/E-): 10 ... 30V DC PELV.
