Possible cause
Leaking tip
Battery low
- Locking lever not engaged
during aspirating or dispensing
- Locking lever open at lower
third of the tip
Motor blocked
- Battery low
- Viscosity is too high (s. page 7)
- Tip orifice obstructed
Locking lever opened too early
within the lower third of the tip
Corrective action
Replace tip
Recharge battery pack or replace with charged battery pack.
1. Press ENTER to confirm error.
Follow MENU-instructions to avoid instrument damage!
Display: CLO (Close)
2. Engage the locking lever
Display: rEF (Reference run)
3. Press the STEP key
Attention: Liquid remaining in tip will be discharged
during the reference run (rEF). Discharge sample into
a suitable vessel (see page 5, point 10).
1. Press ENTER to confirm error.
Follow MENU-instructions to avoid instrument damage!
- Recharge or replace battery pack
- Reduce aspirating/dispensing speed
Display: rEF (Reference run)
2. Press the STEP key
Attention: Liquid remaining in tip will be discharged
during the reference run (rEF). Discharge sample into
a suitable vessel (see pages 5, point 10).
1. Press ENTER to confirm error.
Follow MENU-instructions to avoid instrument damage!
2. Display: OPE (Open)
Push the locking lever to its upper stop.
3. Display alternating between out TIP and CLO.
Remove tip and close locking lever (without tip).
