To adjust the telescopic tube (dia. 05)
One part of the telescopic tube is
packed inside the other and can be ad‐
justed to suit your height for comforta‐
ble vacuum cleaning.
 Press the release button to release
the tubes and adjust to the required
height.
Attach the standard floorhead / hard
floorbrush (dia. 06)
 Push the suction tube into the floor‐
head / floorbrush and turn it clockwi‐
se or anti-clockwise until it clicks in‐
to position.
To detach the standard floorhead /
hard floorbrush
 Press the release button and pull the
suction tube away from the floor‐
head / floorbrush, twisting it slightly
as you do so.
To adjust the standard adjustable
floorhead (dia. 06)
This vacuum cleaner can be used for
daily cleaning of carpets, rugs and ro‐
bust hard flooring.
Miele offer a range of other floorheads,
brushes and accessories for other
types of flooring and special require‐
ments.
Please observe the flooring manu‐
facturer's cleaning and care instruc‐
tions.
 Vacuum carpets and rugs with the
brush retracted:
 Press the  foot control.
Clean hard flooring which is not sus‐
ceptible to scratching, as well as floor‐
ing with gaps or deep crevices in it with
the brush protruding:
 Press the  foot control.
Using the hard floorbrush
(depending on model)
Please observe the flooring manu‐
facturer's cleaning and care instruc‐
tions.
This hard floorbrush is especially suita‐
ble for vacuuming floors with deep
gaps and crevices, e.g. old wooden
flooring.
Using the accessories sup‐
plied (dia. 07 + 08)
 Dusting brush
 Upholstery nozzle
 Crevice nozzle
 Accessory holder for the three ac‐
cessories supplied:
Symbols on the holder show where to
attach the different accessories.
 Attach the accessories holder to the
hose connector socket at the top or
bottom of the suction hose. Make su‐
re it clicks into position.
Depending on model, your vacuum
cleaner may be supplied with an Active
AirClean 30 or HEPA AirClean 30 filter
which can be fitted instead of the
standard AirClean filter (see "Mainte‐
nance and care - Replacing one type of
exhaust filter with another").
