3 Tools and aids required
For the correct installation of the Press seal HRD SG b40,
the following tools and aids are required in addition to the
usual standard tools:
Tools
1 Torque spanner, ¼ inch
1 Extension 100 mm, ¼ inch
1 Adapter for cordless screwdriver, square, ¼ inch
1 Socket wrench insert, ¼ inch

5 Preparing for installation
1 Clean the core drilling/wall sleeve and cable.
Level out any chips and/or voids which may be
present.
Check the diameter tolerance D (+2/-1 mm) of the
core drilling/wall sleeve and of the cable d (+1/-2 mm)
as well as of the outer dimensions, i.e. drill
dimensions of the press seal (see Fig.: 3).

• The wall sleeve must be dimensionally
accurate, smooth and inherently stable.
• The cables must be free of longitudinal
grooves. Slide the cables backwards or
forwards, if necessary, until no more grooves
are visible!
• Damage to the cable or to the cable sheath
must always be reported to the appropriate
persons or authorities.
• The usability of the cable must be checked by
an expert, if necessary.
• No hazards must be able to arise from this.
• The German VDE regulations shall apply here.
• The inside of the wall sleeve must be clean
and free of dust and grease.
