Inserting the Saw Blade (see figure A)
Note: A saw blade can be inserted only at a bevel angle of 0°
(AdvancedCut 50).
Use the lever 6 to open the cover 7 of the SDS saw blade
receptacle. Guide the saw blade through the opening in the
base plate 3 and insert the saw blade into the SDS saw blade
receptacle. Ensure that the drive shaft and the end of the saw
blade fit in the recesses. Close the cover 7 and use the lever 6
to lock the cover until the lever can be heard to engage twice.
The chain of the saw blade is automatically tensioned.
If the chain slips through or becomes detached from the guide
unit, open and close the cover of the saw blade receptacle.
Removing the Saw Blade
Use the lever 6 to open the cover 7 of the SDS saw blade re-
ceptacle and remove the saw blade. When doing so, be aware
that the saw blade can become very hot during prolonged use.
Splinter Guard (see figure B)
Note: The splinter guard can be mounted only when a saw
blade has been inserted.
The splinter guard 16 (accessory) can prevent fraying of the
surface while sawing wood. The splinter guard can be used
only at a cutting angle of 0°.
Press the splinter guard 16 from the bottom into the base
plate 3.
The splinter guard 16 can also be removed when the saw
blade has been removed.
The splinter guard 16 can also be used in conjunction with the
depth stops or the cover for the dust extraction 19.
Depth stop (see figure C)
The depth stop changes the cutting depth of the saw blade.
Depth stops can be used only at a cutting angle of 0°.
Press the required attachment (attachment A or attachment
B) into the base plate 3 from below. You can use one of the
two attachments or both on top of each other. During sawing,
always press the rear end of the base plate onto the work-
piece.
"Cut Control"
"Cut Control" enables the power tool to be guided precisely
along a cutting line marked on the workpiece. "Cut Control" in-
cludes the viewing window with cutting marks and the base
12 for fastening to the power tool.
Dust/Chip Extraction
 Dust from materials such as lead-containing coatings,
some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to
one's health. Touching or breathing-in the dust can cause
allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of

Certain dust, such as oak or beech dust, is considered car-
cinogenic, especially in connection with wood-treatment
additives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials con-
taining asbestos may only be worked by specialists.
– As far as possible, use a dust extraction system suitable
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the
materials to be worked.
 Prevent dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can
easily ignite.
Connecting the Dust Extraction
Attach a vacuum hose (Ø 35 mm) to the vacuum connection
13. Connect the vacuum hose to a vacuum cleaner (accesso-
ry). You will find an overview of connecting to various vacuum
cleaners at the end of these operating instructions.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the material being
worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially detrimental to
health or carcinogenic, use a special vacuum cleaner.
Insert the hood 19 to optimise the dust extraction (see
figure D).
Operation
Operating Modes
 Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains
plug.
 Do not bend the saw blade because this can cause
damage to the blade or to the saw blade receptacle!
Adjusting the Cutting Angle (AdvancedCut 50)
Note: The splinter guard 16, the hood for dust extraction 19
and the depth stops cannot be used for bevel cuts.
The base plate 3 can be swivelled to the right to make bevel
cuts up to 45°.
The splinter guard 16 can not be inserted for mitre cuts.
If necessary, remove the hood 19 and the splinter guard 16.
Loosen wing bolt 14. Tilt the machine sidewards until the de-
sired cutting angle is set on the scale 23. Tighten wing bolt 14
again.
