Dust extraction
The jig saw is equipped with a chip suction nozzle, to which an all-purpose suction
unit or a household vacuum cleaner can be connected. The suction takes place directly
from the saw blade through the suction channel in the vacuum cleaner. A chamber that
is continuously suctioned clear is formed in front of the saw blade with a transparent
protective cover. Advantages of the suction factor: clear view of the cutting area, clean
workspace and air that is clear of sawdust and suitable for breathing.
Initial startup
• Switch on the jig saw and place the saw shoe on the workpiece.
• Slowly move the saw on the previously indicated sawing edge and slowly guide the
jig saw forwards.
• Push the jig saw tightly onto the workpiece. Otherwise the jig saw could vibrate and
the saw blade break.
"Drillsawing"
If the saw is not placed on the side of the workpiece that is to be sawed or if no hole has
been drilled, you have to "drill-saw". This is done as follows:
• Hold the jig saw up to the workpiece with the rounded front of the saw shoe.
• Switch on the jig saw and let the saw blade slowly slide down until it touches the
workpiece.
• Now let the saw do the work and slowly let the saw blade saw into the workpiece.
• Once you have sawed through the workpiece, you can continue to saw with the jig
saw in a normal position.
For this type of sawing you can also first use a drill to drill a hole (which is big enough for
the saw blade of the jig saw). Then proceed according to the steps named above.
Maintenance
Before cleaning or servicing the device, always disconnect the mains plug from the
outlet. Never use water or other liquids for the cleaning of electric parts of the saw.
• Always keep the saw shoe clean so that no imprecisions can occur during sawing.
• Keep the outside of the saw clean, so that all parts can always be moved accurately
and free of wear.
• Keep the ventilation slots of the motor clean so that the motor cannot overheat.
• If the carbon brushes are worn, the jig saw will turn off by itself. In this case you need
to bring the jig saw to your authorised "Workers Best" dealer.
• Lubricate the guide roller regularly.
