IP module for expansion of the
VISTADOOR / VISTUS series
Thank you for purchasing this extension
for our VISTUS / VISTADOOR door inter-
com systems. With this IP module,
Android and Apple smartphones can be
integrated into the system via the
"Vistasmart2" app.
The IP module can be connected to your
router either directly via network cable
or via WLAN. We recommend integrat-
ing it into your network via a cable con-
nection.
If you have a system with several
parties, you need a separate VS-M1 IP
module for each party. This is connected
in parallel to an indoor station of each
party.
If an SD card is inserted into the VS-M1,
an approx. 10-second video is recorded
when the doorbell rings, which can be
viewed via the app.

NOTES ON INSTALLATION / CONNECTION
You should mount the VS-M1 near your
router and use the enclosed patch cable
to connect the VS-M1 to your router.
For the initial start-up it is not necessary
to have already connected the VS-M1
box to the door intercom. Only the
power supply and a LAN (cable connec-
tion) to your router must be ensured for
this.
After commissioning (integration into
your app), you can alternatively switch
the VS-M1 Box to WLAN operation.
Only then do you have to integrate the
VS-M1 Box into your door intercom
system or connect it there in order to
test and use the operating mode in the
door intercom system.
However, we generally recommend that
you always use the LAN cable for normal
operation of the VS-M1 Box.
The screw terminals 1 and 2 (8) are each
present 3 times, the screw terminals 3
and 4 are each present 2 times. It is up to
you which one you use for connection.
The terminals are each connected to
each other. This makes it possible to
mount the VS-M1 directly next to an
indoor station, for example, and loop the
line to the indoor station through the
VS-M1.
The power supply of the VS-M1 with an
additional power supply unit is only
necessary if no power supply can be
provided or taken from the system.
