Initial start-up
After all connections have been made and checked, carry out the following steps:
1.Switch on the filter pump, check for leaks and ensure that water is flowing to and from the pool.
2.Connect the heat pump to the power supply. The unit starts after the time delay has elapsed (see
below). 3.
3.after a few minutes, check that the air flowing out of the unit is cooler.
Depending on the initial temperature of the water in the pool and the air temperature, it may take
several days for the water to heat up to the desired temperature. A good pool cover can drastically
reduce the time needed.
Note:
Time Delay - The heat pump has a built-in 3 minute switch-on delay to protect the circuits and prevent
excessive contact wear. After this time delay has elapsed, the unit will automatically restart. Even a
short power interruption triggers this time delay and prevents the unit from restarting immediately.
Further power interruptions during this delay time have no effect on the 3-minute duration of the delay.
The amount of condensation can be up to several litres per hour in high relative humidity. This is
sometimes mistaken for a water leak.
