Open the engine hood
The cabin cover is attached in the front with
five rotation closures (arrows).
Open all five rotation closures (arrow).
Pull the cabin cover out of the rotation
closures (arrow).

Unscrew the fastening screw (arrow)
from windshield.
Open the rotation closures of the left
cabin cover and place the cabin cover
on top of the cabin roof.
Open the flap at the back of the KM 550.
Unscrew the screw (arrow) that fastens
the engine hood.
Tilt the engine hood forward with the
help of two persons.
The engine hood must be pulled slightly
toward the outside in the area of the
cabin cover. This will prevent the engine
hood from damaging the cabin cover.
Tilt the engine hood all the way forward.
Now, the engine compartment is accessible
for service and maintenance work.
Reclose the engine hood after perform-
ing work on the engine in the reverse or-
der.
When closing the engine hood, make
sure that it is pulled slightly toward the
outside in the area of the cabin cover.
