6.1a Initial operation
The advantage of this device series with automatic control is that the pilot gas amount
(an 11kg gas cylinder per month) saves €25. The savings is comparable for natural gas.
6.1.b Functionality
The ignition electrode (component 5) ignites the main burner and uses an ionization
stream to simultaneously recognize whether the outward flowing gas has been ignited.
When connecting a new cylinder, air will initially flow through the burner and the device
will go into error mode. A red light will glow on the front of the device. Wait at least 1.5
minutes and then press on the light. The process will repeat: the light will glow green,
indicating that the unit is in operation. Do not forget to first open the gas cylinder and/
or the gas valve. When shutting down the device, please first disconnect the electricity
and then shut off the gas supply. The device may indicate a problem several times if
you use a longer gas line. The built-in gas valve enables the unit's output to be throttled
from 100% to 25% and adjusted as desired. Not every greenhouse requires 4.0 kW of
heating. The longer the device is in operation, the more economical it operates. No error
is present as long as the green lamp is lit. Wait until the next ignition process begins.
