An approved connection fitting (gas stopcock) must be installed on the gas supply line
in an easily reachable location.
After connection, all gas-carrying lines must be checked for leaks under operating
pressure by brushing on foaming agents or applying leak detection spray. If no bub-
bles form, the device is free of leaks. Testing for leaks with an open flame is strictly
prohibited.
6. Operation
The gas supply must be opened prior to operating the device. Please ensure that the
gas valve on the side is not in the closed position. The gas valve axle snaps in place
upon entering the closed position. Similar to a gas stove, to open the gas supply the
gas cock must be pressed in and turned to the left up to the first grooved recess. The
device is equipped with a 24V automatic burner system which is turned on or off either
manually, via a clock timer or by a suitable switching device. A CO2 control unit of type
Maxi Control EVO 1.2 for CO2 monitoring is connected in series. Consequently, the gas
for the device must be connected prior to electrically operating the unit.
