Automatic Frequency Control (AFC)
This receiver features an Automatic Frequency Control which auto-
matically keeps your receiver on the exact station frequency when
you are tuned to an FM station. To utilize this feature, tune in the
FM station and then switch on the AFC by turning the smai! buttcn
U © to the right. When
the desired
FM
station
is a weak
sation
adjacent
in frequency
to a strong
siation,
the AFC
may
pull the
tuning into the stronger station. Under these conditions,
switch
off
the AFC
by turning the same
button to the left and tune in the
desired station.
FM Pre-Selectors
At the left of the dial eight FM pre-selectors @ are provided each
with its individual dial. To pre-set an FM station proceed as follows:
@ Press button
U/FM © on top of set plus one of the buttons
U1...U8
(depends on which button you want to "place"
the
individual station).

pre-set button to tune

Tuning Meter.

The
pre-setting
of FM
stations
may
be facilitated when
using
the
tuning
meter
@:
Tune
in the desired
FM
station
(it must
be
of
sufficient strength) on the FM main dial for maximum_pointer
de-
flection. (Do not forget to press button ® plus button @.) Note the
pointer deflection and tune in on the small dial of the selected pre-set
button until the same pointer deflection is obtained. Having preset
in this way up to 8 FM stations, the wanted
station is selected
by
_ simply pressing one of the eight buttons (U1-U 8) plus button ©.
Do not forget to switch on again the AFC (turn the small U button
to the right) after having carried out the pre-setting, it will ensure
_that all FM stations remain accurately tuned in at any time.
