'Glass ceramic hob
Important
.Use and maintain the hob following the instructions
given in this booklet. It will maintain its look and ope-
rate safely for many years. Should Service intervene
due to a bad use or a wrong maintenance, the costs
will be debited to you even during the guarantee
period. This applies to scratched or damaged inscrip-
tions which need to be replaced, as well.
Materials to be used for
cleaning
Clean clothes or paper for domestic use
Liquid detergent
"Sidol for stainless steel" or "Stahlfix"
"Cera-fix".
Scraper.
Materials to be avoided for
cleaning
@ Abrasive powder
@ Abrasive detergents, oven sprays, rust or stain
removers, bleaches
Sponges with rough surface
Steel wool pads
Sponges with abrasive cleaning surface.
Hints for cleaning
@ Do not use cleaning cloths which are used for
other purposes. They may leave a film or fluid or
discoloured water on the ceramic surface and
discolour it in turn.
The effect only becomes visible during the next
use of the cooking zone.
Should the hob be stained, clean it with "Sidol
for stainless steel" or "Stahlfix".
@ Remove foods particles with a damp cloth
(even if instructions on the manufacturer pack-
ing suggest to remove it dry), as it could affect
chemically the surface during the next use.
Normal cleaning
Try to clean the hob when it is only lightly soiled,
ideally after each use, when it is lukewarm or cold.
Avoid burning foods particles or reheating them
repeatedly. In this case cleaning is more difficult
and the surface could be damaged.
Persistent marks
Encrusted foods or fats (burnt spillages) are better
removed while still warm, using a glass scraper or
razor blade.
Finish by cleaning with "Sidol for stainless steel" or
"Stahlfix".
Weekly care
Regularly clean the hob with "Cera-fix".
This cleaning agent protects the cooking surface
with a thin, water and dirt resistant film.
However this film does not withstand high tempe-
ao and the cleaning agent must be used regu-
arly.
We suggest you use this cleaner before preparing
sugary foods to avoid damaging the surface in
case of spills.
