1.3 DATA ACQUISITION
The TRANSFER menu allows you to manage the acquisition or recovery of data from
the Fieldmeter.
It is possible to load the data in the memory of the C.A 43 fieldmeter at a distance and
to display them in the form of a graph on the screen.
The REAL TIME GRAPH command makes possible an acquisition on the PC with the
C.A 43 used as a measurement instrument connected to the PC by the RS 232 link.
In general, the use of this function requires former programming of the rate of data
transfer (RATE command).
The use of the commands on the TRANSFER menu requires that the C.A 43 be linked
to the PC by the RS 232 serial link.
1.4 DISPLAY OF THE GRAPHS
The C.A 43 Fieldmeter has an internal memory which stores up to 1920 measurements.
These measurements may be either linked to acquisition sessions, or to manual data
storage.
The EMIGRAPH software automatically detects the type of measurement in question.
EMIGRAPH allows the display and printout of graphs, session by session.
The ZOOM command allows part of a graph to be magnified. It is easy to measure the
values of the points with the CURSOR command.
1.5 EXITING THE SOFTWARE
The QUIT menu allows you to end the work session and temporarily exit the
EMIGRAPH software to DOS.
- Validate the EXIT command to permanently end the session or type ALT-F4.
- Validate the COMMAND DOS instruction of the Quit menu to temporarily switch to
DOS. Type EXIT to return to the EMIGRAPH software.
1.6 MESSAGES
The user is guided by the EMIGRAPH software through a certain number of clear
messages which indicate the problems found, the input errors or equipment malfunctions.
These are not systematically dealt with in this Operator's Manual as this would make
the text unnecessarily heavy. The messages are sufficiently explicit for the user to
know what attitude to take if a problem were to arise.
