Switching off cooking zones
• To switch off a cooking zone,
set its power level to 0 by sliding your finger
on the slider to the left end
and touching it for about 1 second.
• The display changes from
or to if the cooking zone is still hot (residual heat
warning!).
Switching off the hob
• Touch the key.
When all display fields have switched off
(except for the residual heat warning(s) of correspond-
ing cooking zones, if applicable),
the hob is switched off.
CAUTION!
Risk of burns!
Used cooking zones can still be very hot even after they
have been switched off and pose a risk of burns!
Do not touch the glass ceramic until it has cooled down
to a safe temperature and all residual heat warnings
( on the cooking zone display) have gone out!
Note that these also go out in the event of a power inter-
ruption and any residual heat that is present is no longer
displayed.
Saving energy with the residual heat warning
If you want to heat additional cookware,
you can save energy by using remaining heat.
To do this, select a cooking zone whose residual heat
display is still active.
