Practical advice on sawing
■ Check the material you are working on to make
sure that all foreign objects have been removed,
e.g. nails, screws, etc.
■ Switch the tool off immediately if the saw
blade jams. Open up the sawn gap using
a suitable tool and pull out the tool.
■ Saw the material at a constant speed.
Original accessories/attachments
■ Use only the additional equipment and acces-
sories specified in the operating instructions.
Using attachments or accessory tools other than
those recommended in the operating instruc-
tions can lead to a risk of injury.
Information on saw blades
You can use any saw blade provided it is fitted with
a suitable ½" (12.7 mm) mount with a universal
shaft. Saw blades optimised for your appliance are
available from retail stores in different lengths for
various purposes.

► TPI = teeth per inch = the number of teeth per
2.54 cm

Charging the battery pack
CAUTION!
► Always unplug the tool before you remove
the battery pack from or connect the battery
pack to the charger.
NOTE
► Never charge the battery pack at an ambient
temperature of below 10°C or above 40°C.
If a lithium-ion battery is to be stored for an
extended period, the charge level should be
checked regularly. The optimum charge level
is between 50% and 80%. The storage cli-
mate should be cool and dry, and the ambi-
ent temperature should be between 0°C and
50°C.

♦ Insert the battery pack 3 into the high-speed
charger w.
♦ Plug the mains plug into the mains power socket.
The control LED e Lights up red.
♦ The green control LED r indicates that the
charging process is complete and the battery
pack 3 is ready for use.
ATTENTION!
♦ If the red control LED e flashes, this means
that the battery pack 3 has overheated and
cannot be charged.
If the red and green control LEDs e r both

flash, this means that the battery pack 3 is
defective.
♦ Push the battery pack 3 into the tool.
Switch the high-speed charger w off for at

least 15 minutes between successive charging
processes. Also disconnect the power plug from
the mains power socket.
