Power control
– Power control with speed potentiometer PU/A
Continuous and direct control or set value input of EC fans with potentiometer input. Additionally equipped with an
enabling switch and LED display for the operating condition (depending on the features of the fan type). The potentio-
meter is directly connected to the potentiometer input of the fan control system. In this respect, the PU/A has a poten-
tiometer supply of e.g. 10 V DC and a set value input of 0–10 V DC.

Continuous control or regulation of one and three-phase EC fans with a set value input of 0–10 V DC. Connection

The use of other manufacturers can lead to functional problems and the destruction of the regulator and/or the
EC fan, particularly with regard to electronic units. The use of regulation and control devices, which are not ap-
proved by Helios, voids all guarantee and warranty claims!
Controlling several EC fans with one potentiometer
In order to control several EC fans over the set value input "0-10V", the 10VDC – voltage source must supply the
sum of all set value inputs-load currents.
The parallel switching of +10VDC power supplies for several EC fans is not permitted!
Depending on the type, several EC fans can be controlled with the 10VDC power supply from a EC fan, with one
potentiometer (PU/A). in this respect, take account of the technical data on the control inputs and the wiring dia-
gram SS-1035.
If the current of a EC power supply is not sufficient, a sufficient external 10VDC can be provided by the customer
(galvanically disconnected from the mains).
Alternatively, the module "EUR EC" by Helios can be used for the various control tasks.
