Loudspeaker Mounting
Sound and volume of the SMR depends highly on
the loadspeaker and how you mount it.
Tip 1: Go big!
·
Choose the loudspeaker as big as possible.
·
Tip 2: Full range instead of bass!
A full range loudspeaker for speech is recom-
mended. Don't use bass speaker, otherwise
the motor will sound muffled.
Tip 3: Use a box!
·
You will only be satisfied with the bass if the
loudspeaker is in a box or mounted on a wide
surface (e.g. on the inside of the driver's
cabin).
·
Tip 4: Optimize with Equalizer!
Servonaut offers the equalizer SM-EQ as an
accessory to optimize the sound.
Tip 5: Reduce bass for smaller speakers
·
so you can turn the volume up without distor-
tion.

Manual SMR
Equalizer
The equalizer SM-EQ allows you to adjust the
bass and trebles.
Connect the SM-EQ to the output „VOL" of
the SMR (see picture on the right).
Plug the cable with the potentiometer into the
SM-EQ - note the colour code for correct
polarity.
Set the jumper of the SMR in position „EQ on".
Turn the mini potentiometers clockwise to
increase the bass and trebles. Important:
Use a matching screwdriver!
Turn the mini potentiometers anti-clockwise
to decrease them.
Caution: Increasing bass while on high
volume can lead to distortion and may
destroy the loudspeaker! Only raise bass for big
speakers, e.g. in a 1:8 truck model.
