Dismantling shutter drive/Removing the belt in case of total failure
Note
In the event of a total failure of the rol-
ler shutter drive, when the motor is no
longer running, you can completely pull
out the webbing from the drive using the
release clamp without having to cut it.
1.
Pull out the power plug or turn the
power supply off and secure it
against being switched on again.
2.
Remove the cover plug and loosen
the mounting screws.
3.
Then pull out the roller shutter drive
from the belt box.
4.
Pull out the release clamp from the
holder (see illustration).
5.
Insert the release clamp with
slight pressure into the gearbox
(see illustration) and hold the
clamp pressed.
6.
Then, while holding down clamp,
pull the webbing with your hand
forward out of the unit and remo-
ve it, if necessary, from the moun-
ting hook (see page 10).
7.
Then plug the clamp back into
the storage compartment.
8.
Disconnect the power connection
on the terminal block and remove
the drive completely out of the
belt box.
Note
After a total failure, have the unit
checked by an authorised dealer.
