9. fUSE REPLaCEMENT
a) Inverter
If the fuse of the inverter has tripped, it must be replaced as follows:
• Switch off the inverter
• Remove the cause that tripped the fuse. This may be a connection to the voltage source with
swapped polarity or a consumer connected to the inverter with too-high power consumption.
• Pull the defective car fuse from the fuse holder (on the rear of the inverter).
• Insert a new car fuse with the same rated current into the fuse holder. Observe the print
on the fuse or next to the fuse holder on which rated current is required, and the chapter
"Technical data".
• The inverter can now be put into operation again.
b) Connection cable with cigarette lighter plug
If the fuse of the cigarette lighter plug has tripped, it must be replaced as follows:
• Switch off the inverter
• Pull the cigarette lighter plug from the corresponding socket.
• Remove the cause that tripped the fuse. This may be a connection with swapped polarity or
a consumer connected to the inverter with a too-high power consumption.
• Open the cigarette lighter plug by unscrewing the knurled nut at the tip of the plug.
• Replace the defective fuse by a new one of the same build. Observe the print on the fuse or
the chapter "Technical data".
• Screw together the cigarette lighter plug, tighten the knurled nut by hand.
• The inverter can now be put into operation again.
