8. TAKING INTO OPERATION

1. Prior to switching on, turn down the master control for the overall level to MIN to avoid a possible
switching-on noise. Then switch on the unit with the power switch. The power indicator lights green. If
the indicator lights red during battery operation, the batteries must be charged.
Prior to operating the PA system off mains for the first time, the rechargeable batteries must be fully
charged ( 6.2).
2. Insert the batteries supplied as indicated in the battery compartments of the remote control and the CD
player.
If the devices are not used for a longer period (approx. 1-2 weeks), please remove the batteries to
prevent damage in case of battery leakage.
Only replace by the same type or similar types recommended by the manufacturer.
Remove empty batteries in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer.
Batteries are hazardous waste and should not be disposed of with regular domestic waste!
Please take discharged batteries to a collection center near you.

9. OPERATION

1. Adjust the master control for the overall volume to a level that the subsequent adjustments can be heard
well via the speaker system.
2. Pull out the receiving antenna and switch on the wireless microphone. The power indicator lights. If it
fails to light or if the battery indicator LOW lights, the batteries are exhausted and must be replaced.
If the reception of the radio signal is of sufficient power, the reception indicator RF lights. Adjust the
desired volume of the audio signal received with the control MIC 1.
For optimum receiving:
• maintain a line-of-sight between the microphones and receiver antennas.
• make sure the distance between the microphones and the receiver is not too long.
• make sure the reception is not disturbed by objects in the transmission path; avoid placing the
microphones and the receiver where metal or other dense materials may be present and computers or
other HF-generating equipment (min. 50 cm distance).
• make sure the batteries of the hand-held microphone are always sufficiently charged.
3. Switch on the CD player and the tape deck as well as the other external signal sources and mix their
signals with the corresponding volume controls. Turn back the controls of the signal sources not used.
4. Optimize the sound of the mixed signal with the control TONE.
5. Determine the definite level for the master volume of the PA system with the master control.
6. The priority circuit of the microphone channels MIC 1 to 3 and the wireless microphone can be activated
with the switch VOICE PRIORITY. In case of a microphone announcement, the level of the other signal
sources is drastically attenuated thereby increasing the intelligibility of the announcement. After the
announcement, the level of the other signal sources returns to the original level.
7. To provide the microphone channels MIC 1 to 3 and the wireless microphone with an echo effect, adjust
the repetition rate between 0 and 13 repeats with the control ECHO.
8. After operation, switch off the amplifier unit and the wireless microphone. The power indicators
extinguish.
Danger of explosion when batteries are replaced improperly.
BATTERY DISPOSAL NOTICE
Please dispose of discharged batteries properly.
