Mounting Instructions for Hella Rear Fog Lamp
Installation must take place in
accordance with ECE R48.

1. Regulations
Your rear fog lamps should be
fitted in such a way that they are
at least 100 mm in any direction
from the stop lamp. If there is
only 1 rear fog lamp, it must be

on the opposite side of the
median longitudinal plane of the
vehicle to the direction of traffic
prescribed in the country of
registration. The centre of
reference may also be situated
on the median longitudinal plane
of the vehicle. Where two rear
fog lamps (left and right) are
fitted, these must be placed
symmetrically to the median
longitudinal plane pf the vehicle.
The upper edge of the lens may
not be more than 1000 mm
above the roadway, and the
lower edge of the lens may not
be less than 250 mm above the
roadway.
2. Mounting
Fit the switch in a place where it
is easily reached, e.g. in the
dashboard or console.
Alignment of the
rear fog lamp
Set the rear fog lamp in such a
way the lens is vertical relative
to the roadway and at right
angles to the median longitudinal
plane of the vehicle. Make sure
that the word "TOP" on the lens
is at the top of the lens when the
lamp is fitted.
3. Electrical connection
A Connection takes place
via a switch which
switches on the rear fog light only
(Hella no. 6EH 007 946-001).
B Connection takes place
via a three-function switch
through which the fog lights
and the rear fog light
can be switched on.
Tapping of
terminal 56b can be carried out
with the aid of the fuse holder
mini 8JD 743 557-801
ATO 8JD 743 557-811.
This tapping
can take place via the fuse box,
for example.
This light complies
with the European
agreement on the
international
transportation of
hazardous goods
by road (ADR).
