7 Cleaning and maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the plotter
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to plotter!
Solvents and abrasive detergents can damage the
surface of the plotter.
► If required, use only the detergents recommended
as accessories.
► Never oil the mechanical parts of your plotter!
► Protect the plotter from dust and other contamina-
tion. Cover the plotter when not in use.
A cover is available as an accessory (see Chapter 10).
► Clean the plotter with a dry cloth after use.
► If necessary, use a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
► Replace the seal inserts in the pen station if they
are very dirty.
There is a replacement seal insert in the service pack
(see Chapter 10).
7.2 Replacing the seal insert
The service pack contains a new seal insert and a tool
key.
The plotter must be switched on.
► Open the pen station.
► Fit the tool key to the seal insert.

► Carefully lift the seal insert upwards out of the
holding fixture.

► Place the new seal insert in the holding fixture and
press it down carefully until it clicks into place.

► Use the tool key to align the seal insert so that the
opening points centrally towards the writing area
(the key is parallel to the plotting surface).
