5 Commissioning
5.1 Installing the software
The M-Print PRO operating software can be found on
®
the DVD provided.
► Install the software on the PC.
► Follow the instructions in the installation routine.
The software instructions can also be found
on the DVD provided.
5.2 Connecting the plotter
Possible danger to life!
The power supply has a variable AC input
voltage of 100–240 V AC / 50–60 Hz.
► Make sure that the mains connection
provided is suitable and in good
working condition.
► If necessary, replace the adapter on the mains plug
(for US or UK).
► Connect the mains connection cable to the plotter
(Fig. 4.1, number 12).
► Plug the mains connector into the socket.
► Connect the USB cable to the plotter (Fig. 4.1
number 14) and connect it to the PC.
5.3 Inserting/replacing the plotter pen
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to plotter!
The seal inserts in the pen station are only designed
for the plotter pens specified in these instructions.
If using other products, it cannot be guaranteed
that the seals will engage. The plotter can become
contaminated or damaged.
► Only use the plotter pens specified as accessories
(see Chapter 10).

Follow the instructions provided with the
plotter pen.
► Switch the plotter on.
► Press the Penstation key.
The seal inserts are moved down. The Penstation LED
goes yellow.
► Place the required number of plotter pens in the
seal inserts.
► Press the Penstation key to close the pen station.
After approx. two minutes, the pen station
is automatically closed to prevent the pens
from drying out.
5.4 Using the STI pen
► Make sure that access to the pen station is
deactivated in the software (see Chapter 6.2).
► Place the STI pin in the pen holder of the writing
arm.
If the plotter was already switched on,
switch it off and back on again. This is the
only way to guarantee that the auto-
calibration process is effective.
